From May 12 to June 9, 2025, AIHUB-CSIC invites research groups to apply for access to Artemisa, one of Spain’s premier computing infrastructures dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) research. Located at Instituto de Física Corpuscular (UV-CSIC) data center, Artemisa is a GPU-intensive computing system, equipped with the latest generation GPUs, as well as ample CPU power and disk space.
This call is open to research groups from public universities and public research institutions across Spain.
🔬 A Strategic AIHUB Resource
As part of AIHUB, the national Artificial Intelligence initiative led by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Artemisa plays a strategic role in accelerating cutting-edge AI research and fostering scientific collaboration.
By providing access to powerful AI-ready computing resources, AIHUB strengthens the national AI ecosystem, supporting projects with the potential to create social, economic, and scientific impact.
⚙️ What Artemisa Offers
Artemisa is a state-of-the-art computing facility, purpose-built to support advanced AI research. Its current setup includes:
- 🔸 23 servers with NVIDIA Volta V100 GPUs
- 🔸 11 servers with NVIDIA Ampere A100 GPUs
- 🔸 1 server with 8 NVIDIA Ampere A100 GPUs
- 🔸 2 servers with 2 NVIDIA H100 GPUs
- 🧠 High-performance CPUs and dedicated storage systems
- ⚙️ Both batch-processing and interactive environments for testing and development
These resources are ideal for handling demanding AI workflows, from model training to large-scale simulations.

🧪 Evaluation Process
All proposals will be assessed by a scientific committee based on:
- The scientific quality and relevance of the project
- The research group’s track record
- The suitability of the project for Artemisa’s AI-focused infrastructure
- Current availability of resources
Additional consideration may be given to projects with strong societal impact, especially those aligned with the RIS3 priorities of the Valencian Community.
