AIHUB Connection

Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics and data science are part of our everyday lives and have changed our work structures, relationships and learning habits. However, there is still a long way to go. The AIHUB Connection is a further step in this journey, and its mission is to bring together CSIC research staff dedicated to AI to collaborate in research, training, transfer, and communication activities.

This network of centres brings together more than 400 researchers from more than 80 research groups from 40 centres that apply AI in research areas as diverse as artificial intelligence, physics, microelectronics, life sciences, astronomy and philosophy. A commitment coordinated by Carles Sierra (IIIA) and Carme Torras (IRI) seeks to promote the connection of these groups with each other and with society.

Connection AIHUB Objectives

To consolidate a scientific collaboration network of CSIC centres aimed at tackling the challenges of AI towards 2030.
Respond to the strategies and guidelines in the AI White Paper.
To become an entry point to the demands for AI research and knowledge management support from other CSIC centres, companies and other institutions.
To foster the attraction and promotion of talent, especially young talent, encouraging new vocations and training in research careers, particularly in research in and with AI.
To transmit considerable advances in the subject and social impact issues to society.
To ensure that the development of AI is socially acceptable and ethically aligned with the CSIC’s values.
